The Return of The Slim Shady

It's quite a while since I have heard a song from Eminem. He was just someone who made pop corn music to me. His music carried a minimum guarantee-in the sense that we could listen to any of his songs, but it wouldn't make a lasting impression. Well, until I listened to "stan", followed by "kim". Being a follower of Grammy, I watched a special episode on TV, a couple of years back. The moment I landed on the channel,I saw Sir Elton John and Eminem performing together on stage. I loved the song instantly. I was pretty sure, this song wasn't the normal stuff I had heard from Eminem. I got curious and learned more about the song. A few days later,I saw a writer raving about "kim", which the author explained as "post-modernistic". What can I say about this song? It blew me over. Another writer on the Internet described these two songs exactly the way I did. He described the songs as "two of his most powerful songs". Yes,the songs were powerful, not just "awesome" or "lilting". My opinion about the Slim Shady got changed forever. Eminem has won four "Best Rap Album" Grammies in his career, the latest only this year. Just when I thought the man is past his prime,he has made a comeback with 'Relapse'. I still hum a number of songs from the man,but I am sure,he cannot better his "kim", ever. The song landed the singer into deep trouble as it had reference to his wife Kim's hypothetical death. Kim sued Eminem and since then, the couple are separated. Eminem remains as one of the most talented and controversial musicians in the world of music. With his Grammy comeback,he still has something left in him. I salute, the Slim Shady.
