Made In India

Biddu has been in the music industry for over two decades now. I would remember him more for his interview on a Radio station than his musical skills. On the program he said that his Hindi wasn't that good. I was happy to hear that,because I have someone for company. Like himslef,I have been in and out of Mumbai since my birth and yet,I am yet to learn the language.Biddu became popular by "Aap Jaisa Koi" from Qurbani. Though R D Burman was the composer of the album, Biddu composed this  lone song-it was inspired by an English track. Years later,his single "Made in India" made Alisha Chinoy a household name. We didn't hear Biddu's name for years after "Made in India". Now, all of a sudden,he resurfaces as an author of a book,named after his popular song. Two more books are in the pipeline after his current book,which is an auto-biography.His new book has been received well by the critics. He traces his musical journey and throws some light on the making of his proteges like Shaan,Sagarika et al. The music producer says that he doesn't want to do same things again and again and hence his new avatar as an author.
