Tamil cinema's most succesful director Shankar has dropped plans of a 3D version of his new film Endhiran.The movie was announced with a mega budget and the original producers withdrew from making the film giving it away to Sun Pictures. The shooting is going on in full swing with reports of a 3D version of the sci-fi thriller.However, Shankar has denied that there will be no 3D version of the film. It was rumoured that Shankar was very impressed with Hollywood blockbuster Avatar and was in awe of the 3D effects. This led him to think of a 3D version of the Rajinikanth starrer.Shankar gave up the idea after he felt that the 3D version will lessen the impact of the film.
