Robots In Surgery

A word about prostate here. It is a small organ in men near the Bladder which produces a liquid in which sperm is transported. Surgery for prostate cancer was done in the traditional way till recently, that is, piercing the stomach to create a hole so that surgery tools are inserted to complete the surgery. Now, more and more operations are done by Robots. Doctors say that patients are more interested in surgeries by Robot than the traditional method. Though very expensive, a Robot-assisted surgery is better wherein the slender arms of the Robot can reach places where a normal human hand cannot. It is yet to be proved whether Robots are better than human when it comes to surgeries for cancer. Eight six percent of the prostate cancer surgeries in America last were done by Robots.
