India Pulls Off A Thriller

0
India were in danger of losing their No.1 status and with it a rare series loss when it won a thriller at the Eden Gardens. South Africa having already won a test at Nagpur needed only a draw to seal the series. The Indian bowlers dismissed the top order cheaply, before the tailenders paired with Hashim Amla to make a terrific comeback. Amla scored two centuries in the match and came very close to secure a draw for his team. Harbhajan Singh struck form just at the right moment and bagged five wickets. More importantly,he grabbed the last wicket when his team was about to lose the game. With just a couple of overs left,he dismissed Morne Morkel to trigger wild celebrations in the stadium. India have just managed to retain their Number 1 spot.
