Social Consciousness

I couldn't approve people's habit of spitting on roads, urinating in public, use streets like dust bins. And then people wasting electricity. I have seen many wasting electricity by keeping electrical appliances like lights, bulbs and fans on,when they are not required. Most of we Indians have this habit. And we point out this to them, the reply would be " I am paying the bill for my power consumption and I have every right to waste it." This is the standard reply I get even from the educated. Come on, why don't they think that there is a huge shortage of power and states are struggling to meet the energy demands? There is another important thing to be considered. Fifty percent of the power generated goes as waste and we get only the remaining 50% for use. The wastage rate is one among the worst in the world. I believe no one has the right to waste. Let it be electricity, water or even a green chilli, there is a lot of manpower involved and it takes days to complete the production. It is our duty to conserve our resources. Water, electricity and other resources are money. Would we like to waste our money?
